April 22, 2012: KM 247.5 - 266.7

(Toronto 45.1km - Caledon 13.8 km)

Man, those Bramptonians have been showing us up with all of their hikes already this year. Chis and I just had to get out there today and catch up (we are 2 hikes behind!). How can they hike so much when thay have so many babies?

Took us 4.5 hours for this one, and my legs were huring by the end. Started off nicely though, a walk through the forest with blooming trilliums..

It got a little wet at some points..

Would have stopped in and bought some fresh bread products if I had not left my wallet in the car (doh!)

we were on roads quite a bit on this one

walked past the badlands:

and then through the "equestrian neighbourhood" where horses own houses and humans live outside and eat grass.

The trail came out  to an escarpment overlooking miles of forest valley, complete with circling hawks

The way down was pretty steep..

I think we were off the trail at this point.. "blazing a new route"

we rejoined the trail at the bottom and began following the forks of the credit section:

 The old hydro station:

.. and then our reward ? Steak & Kidney Pie! Thanks mom :)

  1. Having many babies is the motivation to get out on the trail ;)
